JMS 1000
JMS 1000 is a high-impact, ultra-high molecular weight polyethylene engineered for medical fabrication where strength, durability, and repeated flexibility are essential. Its exceptional toughness makes it ideal for fabricating long-lasting foot orthoses, braces, shells, hand prostheses, and unbreakable splints. Lightweight yet incredibly resilient, JMS 1000 thermoforms easily and performs reliably in applications such as foot orthoses and supportive bracing systems.

JMS 1000 can be formed at a recommended temperature range of 325-375°F for approximately 4-12 minutes, depending on sheet thickness and individual oven performance. Some shrinkage during heating is normal. Avoid molding directly over a wet cast; a stockinette should always be used as a barrier. If the material begins to flow, melt, puddle, or develop bubbles, it has been overheated or left in the oven for too long.
